Holidays At The Disneyland Resort

Updated: Mar 1, 2021

If visiting Disneyland during the holiday season is in your plans, know that you'll be in for lots of magic! The Sleeping Beauty castle gets a winter makeover with icicles and festive decor that looks like a true winter wonderland. The food, the music, they think about every little detail for an experience like no other. This is my absolute favorite time of the year to be in the parks, even though it is the most crowded.

Nobody does Christmas like Disney and here's everything you can get to experience until January 6, 2020. Let's explore the most magical time of the year at the Disneyland Resort!

Disneyland Park

A Christmas Fantasy Parade

Your favorite characters on a Christmas themed parade. Anna, Elsa and Olaf, Mickey and Minnie, Chip 'n Dale, Woody and Buzz, the Disney Princesses and many more!

Tip: Arrive early to find the best-possible viewing spot—especially if you plan to see the show along Main Street, U.S.A. There are also excellent viewing spots near "it’s a small world" Holiday and Matterhorn Bobsleds.

Times (may vary) – 3:30 PM, 6:00 PM

"Believe...In Holiday Magic" Fireworks Spectacular

As the sky overhead lights up with dazzling color, more than 80,000 twinkling lights illuminate Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle with sparkling “icicles” and shimmering snow-capped turrets.

As a special wintry treat, experience a magical snowfall all around you when you head over to “it’s a small world” Holiday in Fantasyland, over portions of Main Street, U.S.A. and near the Rivers of America!

Time (may vary) – 9:30 PM

"it's a small world" Holiday Lighting

As you approach, you’ll hear the classic song playing along with a medley of holiday tunes. As dusk begins to fall, gather in front of the attraction’s iconic façade and watch thousands of twinkling lights come to brilliant life. Then, every 30 minutes throughout the night, watch in wonder as a joyous light projection show animates the façade with a kaleidoscope of charming holiday colors and images.

Time (may vary) – 5:15 PM

Haunted Mansion Holiday

Take a tour of the eerie estate’s merry macabre makeover—and meet some real holidays spirits—through January 20, 2020.

Disney California Adventure Park

Buena Vista Street Holiday Tree Lighting

Watch in wonder as the towering tree in the plaza outside Elias & Co. twinkles to life with a kaleidoscope of colored lights, hundreds of whimsical ornaments and swags of gleaming garland.

Time (may vary) – 4:55 PM daily

World of Color – Season of Light

See beloved moments from Disney and Pixar films illuminate a towering wall of mist on this 23 minutes show. Watch hundreds of sky-high fountains dance in time to festive music as shimmering snowflakes fill the scene. Experience a mesmerizing spectacle as enchanting and magical as the holidays themselves!

Showtimes are subject to change. Please check the daily Entertainment Schedule or the Disneyland app for daily schedules.

Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party

Join The Three Caballeros for a soiree starring an assortment of musicians, dancers and giant mojiganga puppets!

Times (may vary): 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM, 3:00 PM, 4:30 PM, 5:30 PM, 6:30 PM

Santa's Holiday Visit at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail

Redwood Creek Challenge Trail has been transformed into a holly, jolly, joy-filled playground, complete with seasonal games and outdoor activities for all to explore.

Plus, Santa Goofy will be on hand December 25, 2019 through January 6, 2020 to pose for pics and sign autographs too.

Time (may vary) – 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Luigi's Joy to the Whirl

Luigi and his extended family of roadsters are celebrating the season in style—with festive dances to tunes crooned by Luigi himself! Take a seat in a classic Italian import and enjoy the ride as the cars cruise to the music.

Mater's Jingle Jamboree

Enjoy a haul-iday tractor spin through a festively decorated junkyard—from November 8, 2019 to January 6, 2020!
